Hiring a private driver in Antalya means the car and the day belong to you. There is no coach to fill, no fixed departure and no list of stops decided by somebody else. You tell us where you want to go, we send a licensed driver and a suitable vehicle to your hotel, and the schedule follows you.

How the day works

We collect you from your hotel at the time you choose. From there the day is yours: the driver takes you to each place on the plan, waits while you visit, and moves on when you are ready. If you want to add a stop on the way, or skip one because the children have had enough, say so in the car and the driver will adjust.

The one fixed limit is time. A private day runs up to nine hours from pick-up to drop-off, which comfortably covers two or three main stops with lunch, or one distant site with the driving either side. The driver stays with the car throughout, so shopping bags, jackets and beach things can be left behind rather than carried.

Where people usually go

Most first-time visitors want a mix of city and nature. A short day is easily filled with the old town, the harbour and the waterfalls. A longer one reaches the canyons, the coast east of the city, or the theme parks in Belek. These are the routes people ask for most often:

Pick-up, vehicles and drivers

Pick-up is included from hotels in Antalya, Belek, Kemer, Side and Lara. Hotels further along the coast — Alanya, Kas, Olympos — can be arranged, but the extra travel eats into the nine hours, so tell us the hotel name when you ask and we will say honestly whether the plan still fits.

Vehicles are air-conditioned and non-smoking, and we match the car to the group rather than sending whatever happens to be free: a sedan for two or three travellers, a minivan for a family of five or six, a minibus above that. Child seats are available if you give us the ages at the time of booking.

A driver is not a tour guide. Turkish law reserves commentary at museums and archaeological sites for certified guides, so if you want the history explained at Perge, Aspendos or the old town, ask us to add a licensed guide to the day. Most of our drivers speak workable English or Arabic and know the roads, the parking and the quiet hours at each site, which is a different kind of useful.

What affects the price

There is no single flat rate, and any company quoting one before asking where you want to go is guessing. Four things move the number: the distance the car covers, the size of the group and therefore the vehicle, the season, and whether you add a licensed guide.

A morning in the old town and at the waterfalls keeps the car inside the city and costs far less than a run out to Köprülü Canyon or a full day in Belek. June to September prices above the shoulder months. The driver, the fuel and the bridge and road fees are always in the price; entrance tickets, meals and any boat or activity ticket are paid by you on the day, so you can see exactly which part of the day is ours.

We send the figure in writing before anything is confirmed, with the route, the vehicle and the hours it covers written out. If the plan changes, we requote in writing rather than adjusting the number on the day.

Booking a driver

Tell us your hotel, your dates, how many people are travelling and roughly what you would like to see. If the route is still open, describe the kind of day you want — waterfalls and old town, a canyon and a river lunch, a park with the children — and we will propose something that fits the hours. Common questions about private drivers in Antalya

Is a private driver cheaper than joining a group tour?

Per person, usually not — a seat on a group coach is the cheaper ticket. What the private car buys is the schedule: you leave when you want, stay as long as you want and skip what does not interest you. For families and small groups the gap narrows quickly, because the car price is shared rather than paid per seat.

How long can a private day last?

Up to nine hours from pick-up to drop-off. Longer days are possible but are quoted separately, because they change the driver’s hours rather than just the route.

Are entrance tickets and lunch included?

No. The price covers the driver, the fuel and the bridge and road fees. Site tickets, meals and any boat or activity ticket are paid by you during the day.

Can we change the route once we have set off?

Yes, within the hours booked. Ask the driver to add or drop a stop and he will adjust, as long as the day still ends inside the agreed time. Changes that push past nine hours are requoted.

Does the driver speak English or Arabic?

Most of our drivers manage both to a practical level. If the language matters to you, say so when you book and we will assign accordingly.
